N.E.W.T.S TBR

I took my O.W.L.S back in April and now it’s time for my N.E.W.T.S!

I have finally decided on a career as an Auror, which means I have a few more challenges this time around!

This means I have to get an O in Defence Against The Dark Arts, an E in Charms and Potions and an A in Herbology and Transfiguration. However, being a needy overachiever, I will be aiming for Os in all my subjects and even taking an extra subject of Muggle Studies.

As ever, this will be a working document that I will update as the month goes on and possibly add more challenges if I complete this mountain of a TBR!

Charms:

A: A book that you think has a gorgeous cover – All The Bad Apples by Moïra Fowley Doyle ✅

E: Comic/graphic novel/manga (or book under 150 pages) – Batman: The Dark Knight, Vol. 3: Mad by Greg Hurwitz

O: Read a paperback book – Rose, Interrupted by Patrice Lawrence ✅

Defence Against The Dark Arts:

A: Book that’s black under the dust jacket – The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis ✅

E: First book you remembered just now from your TBR – The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta

O: Book written by an English author or set in England – Jemima Small Versus The Universe by Tamsin Winter  ✅

Herbology:

A: Listen to an audiobook or read a book with a green cover – Under A Dancing Star by Laura Wood

E: Read a book between 350-390 pages – What She Found In The Woods by Josephine Angelini ✅

O: Read a book with a flower on the cover – Because You Love To Hate Me: 13 Tales of Villainy ✅

Muggle Studies:

A: Cover that includes an actual photo element – Dead Popular by Sue Wallman ✅

EBook set in our real world  – The Million Pieces of Neena Gill by Emma Smith-Barton ✅

O: Book written by a person of colour – With The Fire On High by Elizabeth Avecedo

Potions:

A: Read your friend’s favourite book – The Future by Neil Hilborn

E: Book with a cover in your Hogwarts house colour, so blue for Ravenclaw – King of Fools by Amanda Foody  ✅
